Job Description:
As the Controls Engineer you are responsible for maintaining,
servicing, and troubleshooting manufacturing site equipment.
Applying your electrical and mechanical knowledge, you will
implement preventative maintenance programs and reduce equipment
downtime. You will play a fundamental role in upholding Plastipaks
standard of excellence and exceeding customer expectations.You
Will:
- Maintain machinery and equipment, including vision systems,
production equipment, palletizers, and plant support machines
- Support upgrades and troubleshoot control systems with Allen
Bradley Micrologix, Compactlogix and Contrologix using RS 500 and
5000 software
- Perform preventative maintenance & process control adjustments
on industrial equipment
- Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to manage
projects related to electrical maintenance
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to meet
production and customer needs
- Foster positive team engagement and a culture of TPM, GMP and
Safety
- Contribute to the sites cross-functional achievement of cost,
delivery, quality, and reliability goalsYou Have:
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant technician or engineer
experience required
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required
- Experience troubleshooting industrial controls systems
- Functional knowledge of RSLogix 5/500/5000, Factorytalk View
