Vice President, Ophthalmics Sales, Professional Relations and
Marketing
Summary
Sun Pharmaceuticals seeks a results driven, customer focused,
collaborative individual to join our team. The Vice President,
Business Unit Head, Ophthalmics will report directly to the CCO and
will be responsible for hiring, training and leading the
Ophthalmics Commercial Team, meeting Ophthalmics Business revenue
targets to include planning and implementing all phases of the
Ophthalmics annual sales strategies. This position will work
cross-functionally with home-office based colleagues in Medical
Affairs, Training, Commercial Operations and Market Access. The
attributes that are critical for success include collaboration,
communication, planning. This position is located in Princeton on a
HYBRID Work Week: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
Lead your marketing and sales team and work with cross functional
counterparts to develop strategic and annual brand plans
Develop and drive customer engagement strategies in alignment with
brand and BU strategic imperatives and in a compliant manner
Attend regional/national congresses and work with key customers to
compliantly drive the Sun Ophthalmics portfolio
Ongoing demonstration of compliant collaboration, teaming and pull
thru across stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations,
Training and Market Access) to coordinate a consistent company
approach to key customers.
Work collaboratively with marketing, managed markets and management
in order to achieve sales objectives
Represent and promote Sun Pharma's products and image in a
professional, productive manner while adhering to Sun Pharma
compliance guidelines
Follow and be knowledgeable of all relevant laws, regulations and
corporate policies governing all activities
Interacts at multiple levels inside and outside the company. Tact,
diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism are essential.
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
Strategic thinking abilities - demonstrated through a track record
of success in developing and executing plans - and a strong sense
of urgency
Advanced Degree in Business or Life Sciences discipline
preferred
Minimum of 10 years product management and/or sales leadership
experience a must
Current understanding of pharmaceutical promotional rules and
regulations.
Work within label, and regulatory and legal compliance
guidelines
Comprehensive understanding of the Ophthalmics marketplace
preferred
Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability in developing
effective strategic relationships required
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work proactively with
Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other business partners
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong
presentation skills
Prior P&L responsibility and GTN management preferred
This individual must have a track record of high performance and
delivers exceptional results. They must have strong analytical,
project management, fiscal management and decision making
skills.
They must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic
"startup" type of environment without losing focus on business
goals. This individual should be a strong and dependable leader who
operates with integrity, builds trust with their team, management,
their cross-functional partners and assigned customers.
This position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may
be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees are
